Why You Need To Do An Amalfi Coast Tour

Considered a 'bucket-list' travel experience, touring the Amalfi Coast is a must do when in Italy.

It’s hard to convey just how much we loved our Amalfi Coast drive; from the incredible views to beautiful towns, every minute of the trip provided something new and amazing to look at. We chose to travel with ItalyTours.EU¬†as their Amalfi Coast tour had a fantastic itinerary, starting at the port of Salerno and visiting Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. Our driver even kindly extended the tour by taking us to Sorrento as well, meaning we ticked off many of the must see place on the coast in one excursion. We travelled in a very spacious mini-van and our driver doubled-up as a tour guide, providing lots of interesting information about our surroundings and answering all our questions.

We stopped at each of the towns for around an hour, giving us plenty of time to explore the local area and get some amazing pictures. Ravello was our favourite for cliff-side shots, we loved seeing the beautiful church in Amalfi and Positano was great for picking up souvenirs, thanks to its many gift-shops. In Sorrento, we had the most amazing lunch in a traditional Italian restaurant, enjoying pizza and pasta -of course!- washed down with a local limoncello.

If you’re docked in either Naples or Salerno, do not miss the chance to explore the Amalfi Coast; it really is a ‘bucket list’ excursion that allows you to properly appreciate the beauty of Italy and discover some places you will definitely want to return to.
